Home Buyers Guide: This guide will help familiarize you with the home buying process, and present you with relevant information and steps to a successful purchase.
Choosing to buy a new home can be exciting and fun but it can also be stressful and aggravating at times. Please give this a quick read and refer to throughout the process of buying your home.
Get Pre-approved for a mortgage
Getting pre-approved will help give you an idea of what to expect when looking at what houses you can afford. Many Buyers feel like agents are being pushy by suggesting getting pre-approved however its to make the process go smoothly. Its ok to shop around to get the best rates and loan for your personal situation.
Meet with a Real Estate Agent
It’s important to find a Real Estate Agent that your comfortable with and feels will represent your best interests. Your Real Estate Agent will help you find the right home for you, set up viewing, explain different difficult situations to you, negotiate the best deal for you and help organize the many procedures that are needed when purchasing a home.
My goal is to help you find the best home for your want and needs and successfully get it at the best price.
Visualize your dram home
Although you probably have already been visualizing your dream home now that you know what your price range is you can start the search of finding that dream home. When looking for the right home remember to think of some important factors, such as how will it effect your life, is it close to schools, what neighborhood is it in, does it give me easy access to work and any other contributing factors. You may want to consider also looking at homes that don’t have everything on your list. You never know that you will find.
Finding your Dream home
Finding your dream home is not a single moment, it is a process. Its about seeing many homes and gradually understanding the market so you can make the best decision. Your Real Estate Agent can set you up for an online search that fits your criteria along with the property search on this site you can start picking which houses you would like to view.
Once you find that dream home your Real Estate Agent will help you make an offer which will then either be accepted, countered, or rejected. When an accepted offer is agreed upon, you will then need to have an inspection of the home, which may require more negotiating depending on repairs that may need to be done. Your mortgage lender will also want an appraisal done on the property to make sure the amount they are lending is justified. You then will need to get homeowners insurance on your new home. Finally, you will have to decide on a Lawyer/ Notary to sign off on ownership.
Congratulations at this point you are now a new home owner !!
